TYGR is a very funky, laid back place with its own distinct vibe and it’s extremely popular for its excellent sushi.
If you don’t arrive promptly for meal times, you may have to queue for a while to get a table, it’s worth the wait though – this is more than a nice dinner.
They also offer a decent range of Japanese food and their chicken karaage is world-class, in fact, it makes us want to back to this sushi bar, right now just thinking about it.

The “3” in the name here signifies that this is the 3rd branch of this chain here in Bali but it is the only one that’s based in Canggu.
It’s a traditional Japanese chain, however, and the owners are a couple with the wife being from Japan.
The sushi rolls here are quite excellent and there’s a broader range of menu items too, so you can enjoy an extended lunch.

Enso caters to folk on a budget and if you need sushi rolls but don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is the place to go to.
We would note that while the menu does extend beyond sushi at this place, the rest of it is nowhere near as good as the sushi.
So stick to the rolls and go mad, the portions are generous and they have plenty of tasty options for you to try.

Waroeng Sushi
This simple roadside warung has carved out a unique spot in the local sushi scene as it delivers cheap rolls for people passing by.
It’s not a very pretty place and many customers opt for takeout as that means they can eat elsewhere, but the food is good.
It also deliver on welcoming and warm Balinese hospitality, which is a nice touch.

Sushikoo is another budget-friendly place with an emphasis on Japanese fusion sushi.
We were really impressed with this place when we visited and while we didn’t love their curry, we really enjoyed everything else that we tasted.
If you want a somewhere a little different for a night out with friends, Sushikoo might just fit the bill.

No, Eden is not strictly a sushi restaurant and yes, it’s a shisha place, so you can expect to dine in a haze of smoke.
But if that’s your cup of tea, they do have some nice sushi rolls on the menu and the portions are tasty and decent-sized.
But if you hate smoke, we doubt that sushi will make up for coughing with every bite.
