How To Choose The Right Gym In Canggu For You

Nobody can decide which gym is right for you and which gym is “just a gym” except for you.

We’d recommend that you take into account the following four areas when you’re choosing your perfect gym from all the gyms in Canggu:

  1. What are your objectives? Do you need fitness classes or personal training sessions? Are you looking to lose weight, to do weight training, perfect your martial arts skills, or do you have something else in mind?
  2. What sorts of workouts do you want? Yoga classes? HIIT Classes? Martial Arts? Strength Training sessions? Zumba? Pilates? Crossfit? What about bespoke sessions with personal trainers that can really hone in on what you need when compared to group fitness classes?
  3. What format do you want from a well-equipped gym? Sure, you want them to have the facilities you need such as a body weight-resistance training area or fight gym but also do they have a swimming pool, an onsite juice bar, sauna and ice baths, etc? Many gyms in Bali have way more than the standard gym equipment to offer their members.
  4. How much will it cost? The best gym equipment, etc. is going to come at a price premium and while you can offset some of the increased cost using monthly memberships or annual memberships, you should be looking to see what you can afford too. A cheap gym is going to run around $100-$120 AUD ($65-$80 USD) a month, a well-equipped gym with a decent recovery centre is going to run from $175 AUD – $340 AUD ($110 – $220 USD) a month. If you want high-intensity interval training or personal training to reach your fitness goals, it may be more expensive still. Martial arts training tends to be around $300 AUD ($200 USD) a month too.
